Special Hampers

For Christmas, I made my parents a gorgeous hamper full of delicious things and it was great because I could make it and I knew they would like it (who doesn’t like food?). I made them quite a sweet one, but I am definitely going to try some savoury ones too. In this hamper was:
Homemade Granola

Apple, blackberry and red onion chutney

Chocolate Fudge

Jewelled Florentines
Chocolate Peanut Truffles

Homemade Irish Cream Liqueur

Gin and Tonic Truffles

I will do individual posts for each recipe, but this could give you some inspiration for your own hamper. Jams and chutneys are great, because they keep for ages. Granola looks lovely and can be made ahead. Biscuits and truffles are better made fresh, so make sure you make them no less than a day or two before you give the hamper. All my recipes make a bit extra than for one hamper, but I’m sure that will be eaten very quickly

To store the confections use:
kilner jars
kilner bottles
jam jars
cellophane
egg boxes (for the truffles)
basket

Enjoy making your hamper!
